Whilst Redbell Technology has developed a number of products in the past its primary focus now is on the Course Approvals and Management System (CAMS).

CAMS was developed for to provide a single authoritative system to manage:

All approvals for units of study and courses
Standardisation of documentation and information provided for approval of courses and units of study
Enforce compliance with the council delegations for approvals and academic board policy

CAMS v1.0 went live in 2003. Since then its functionality has been increased through several upgrades. New features include:

VET courses and units of competency
Fees management and publication (HESA)
Issues logging
Interface with Callista

CAMS was upgraded to an ASP.net environment and v2.0 was released in 2012. The CAMS application is an N-Tier Web Application consisting of the following tiers:

Presentation Tier – ASP.net web forms, this tier is responsible for displaying and driving the user interface.
Business Tier – this layer is responsible for interacting with the Presentation and Data tiers.
Data Tier – SQL Server database.
